Streaming with DIRECTV – The New AT&T Experience

Pardon our Streaming Dust

First thing first, where you stream has not changed. You can stream using the DIRECTV app or via the web at directv.com/entertainment. How you sign in has changed and it may be a bit weird, but I wrote a little something below to guide you through it.

 

What to expect when signing in to stream via directv.com

When you sign into directv.com, you will be directed over to myAT&T. You shouldn’t have to sign in again, but sometimes it takes longer than expected to get from one site to the other and it forgets what it was doing. On the Overview page of myAT&T, there will be a link to “Start Watching Now” on the Watch TV card. Once the Start Watching Now link is selected, you will be routed to your online, DIRECTV Entertainment. (It may seem a bit crazy, not to worry, we are working to fix the experience.) If you sign into myAT&T and want to stream, just find that Start Watching Now link and we’ll take you over to directv.com/entertainment. If you find yourself in a loop, you will probably need to create an AT&T User ID to sign in (steps listed below).

 

Create an AT&T User ID

  1. Create an AT&T Access ID.
  2. Already have an access ID? Find it now.

Heads Up! To stream, you will need to have accept Terms of Service on att.com. Also, make sure to move your account.

 

Are you having trouble with the app

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If that does not help, check out our DIRECTV app troubleshooting article for more troubleshooting steps.

Are you having trouble streaming? Wondering why you are being directed to multiple pages to stream? I have the answer for you above.

I've had DTV for 12 years. I've never had this much trouble with the service. I am unable to view the online chanel guide nor live view any channels online using my computer. Error message states that 'we're unable to process your request at this time'. This has been going on for 10 days to two weeks. I have called customer service twice now and spend much time on the phone being pushed from one person to another without success. I'd like this  situation resolved.

Chris Z where is the solution? dtv everywhere still states that "we are unable to process your request at this time please try again" That's an acknowledgement of the problem where's the fix.

This has been broken for 6 months!  I don't think there is a universal fix.  It seems some people have luck uninstalling the app while others have no luck with anything (me).

Yea but I'm talking about the web page in the link above. Hasn't worked in a month. No solution After two calls to customer service.

I also just spent 2 hours on the phone with “customer service” and was finally transferred to someone to “help me” that just wanted to change my password?  Ridiculous that this isn’t fixed yet...

In my opinion, the marriage of DirecTV into the ATT fold is a disaster.
