Yikes. That's worse than bad customer service. That's either a total incompetent or a bald-faced liar. How would resetting a receiver change the fact that they moved Shortcuts to online only? Then again, their Twitter people were insisting that nothing was wrong and that people who couldn't see Shortcuts on CH 705/705 as usual had some unique problem that they'd need to delve into their accounts to solve. Until the Monday night of opening weekend when they finally admitted that they were online only, so we couldn't cancel and get our money back. Nice, huh?
And yes, their streaming protocol is all boogered up so you can't pause without being logged out.

The main reasons I have NFL Sunday ticket are to:
1. Watch the Steelers, and...
2. Watch the Short Cuts on Monday through Wednesday.
But now I can't find Short Cuts anywhere on my TV!
So I called DirecTV and spoke to 2 agents plus an NFL Sunday Ticket agent. They all told me that Short Cuts was taken off the TV broadcast schedule and is only available online, such as via a computer, phone or tablet.
I didn't buy Sunday Ticket so I could watch on my iPad. I want to see Short Cuts on my 60" TV. So I complained. Loudly, but not obnoxious (I think). Then an agent offered to write up my complaint and send it up the line to her superior.
My point is: All of us who are upset about losing Short Cuts on our TV should call DirecTV and complain, and ask that our complaint be written up and forwarded to someone in authority. Maybe we can bring Short Cuts back to our TVs!

Been using the app on the iphone/ipad (unwillingly, I want to watch it on the DVR/computer). here are some issues:
- by the middle of hte broadcast audio is a good 3 seconds behind the video. cmon really? directv is a video shop, you should be able to do this.
- shortcut my booty - a few of them were 45 minutes long (with sloppy editing) - bring it to 30 min.
- if you quit the app it forgets where you were in the playback. this can't be that hard.
- please have an option to not show scores when you start hte app - i like watching the games without knowing any scores (yes, i go thru life with my head in the sand - at least for monday and tue). the NFL version of this app has a no-score option.
- have a download option so we can download games to the phone then watch them offline (say on a airplane or where there is no coverage).

Has anyone gotten a satisfactory response on this issue?
I agree with everyone on this board - the change was not communicated and even the DirecTV Reps didn't know about it.
The app option isn't good - I want to record on my DVR and watch at my convenience. The app casting on to my TV is of poor quality with lots of skips and is poorly edited – I missed 2 fumbles in the Detroit-Philly game. Saw who recovered but not who fumbled - twice in one game! And the games run up to 40-45 minutes instead of 25-30 like channels 705-706 previously did. That is what I paid for - to watch on my TV with the option of watching on a laptop, iPad or iPhone. Not that a mobile device being my only option.
On top of that, I have gotten messages that the programming isn't available until after 12am ET on multiple devices on both Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning and was unable to watch a game. The simple task of watching a 30 minute game has become exasperating. I did an online chat with e DirecTV Rep on this topic and got a discount but I don't want a discount - I want what I paid for and what was advertised. I had a 2nd chat to cancel Sunday Ticket but they refused because it was after the season started - even though they didn't disclose the change in service. If I wanted to watch online I would order GamePass for a lot less money - all I want is what I have paid for and what I have gotten in the past. And people wonder why the NFL ratings are down? Quit playing with us and give us what we paid for!!!!
Since AT&T and DirecTV are holding a hard line on this I will speak with my wallet. I have been an AT&T customer for around 10 years and for about 9 out of the last 11 years with DirecTV but I am moving on. My DirecTV contract expires on 2-10-17, so that will be the first to go. My iPhone contract expires on 2-17-17, so that will be second along with an iPad that is not under contract. We have two other iPhones that are on the AT&T installment plan until 5-12-18. So, if we don’t see a resolution of this issue, my phone/TV bill of between $375-$425 a month will be going to Verizon and Comcast, as much as it pains me.
If I can’t get a quality Sunday Ticket product, there is no reason to have DirecTV. I hope the decision makers at AT&T actually take a look at their feedback – their product has taken a large step backwards.

This change to streaming is easily the worst experience DirecTV has ever forced on it's customers. Now the NFL Sunday Ticket app is not working on either the iPhone, Roku or a Windows 10 tablet. All are giving error messages related to SSL errors. The most detailed was about an incorrect cipher being returned.
Multiple retries result either an immediate error or an error a few minutes later. Since the app doesnt let you try to start where it last crashed there is no hope to even skipping the error.

Yeah, this is insane. The move to streaming only, with NO advance notice, was bad enough. But the app, which has never been good, is now useless. Logging users out randomly and throwing errors no matter what you're trying to do. What a debacle. Just put the ShortCuts back on TV where they belong. It's the simplist, easiest solution. There's plenty of bandwidth with two new satellites and no new HD channels in nearly a year. Come on. I know AT&T is busy trying to buy WB (fat chance we DTV customers get a nice deal on HBO, CNN, etc.) but you don't let one of your core businesses fall apart.

Agreed! Definitely time to find another provider! Deceptive advertising is their game!
I just found out that I do not have NFL Sunday Ticket even though I never discontinued it and was told by a DIREC TV rep that I DEFINITELY had it before the start of the 2016 fb season.
So, every Sunday, in order to view fb games, we had to hit "Order for $49.99" which we assumed meant order NFL Sunday Ticket; and the $49.99 was the monthly charge; OH NO...... they CHARGED us $49.99 for EVERY Sunday and now are REFUSING to credit the $49.99 charge multiple Sundays!! This is an overcharge of close to $200!! DECEPTIVE - It reads to order; it does not state you will be charged $49.99 every Sunday for a service you were told you subscribed to. Done with DIRECT TV; way too many choices! They DON"T care about long-term customers!
