I just got off the phone with them. I told them it wasn't working on my TV, guy kept me on hold for about 5 minutes came back and said "It's only available Sunday at midnight until Wedensday, does that answer your question" MY response was "you know it's Tuesday right". Long pause had me reset receiver and of course that didn't work. This is dumbest thing ever why would I want to only watch on my phone when I have a couch and a tv. Can't understand why someone thought this was a good decision. Don't they know as soon as they lose NFL Ticket they will be out of business.

I got a call back from the executive offices and they said it was the NFL who dicates what content can be shown on what device. Do not know if this is entirely true but they did say lots of people are comlaining so I would keep doing it.
Google "directv executive offices email" and you will find them

I think that is a phrasing issue. DirecTV entered into a negotiation with the NFL and AGREED to it. So they own part of the decision to change the product offering and own 100% of the poor management of the communication of the changes.

I called DirecTV and the customer service representative didn't know anything about Short Cuts. She was very nice and I don't blame her, but I do blame DirecTV for not telling their representatives about any significant programming changes. Especially ones that screw over longtime NFL Sunday Ticket subscribers. I've been a subscriber since 1998, so if they're delivering an inferior product for the same price, I'd like to know about it. So far, about every post on here sums up my sentiments. I won't forget this. Some day when DirecTV doesn't have a stranglehold on NFL games, I will not be a loyal customer.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one ticked about this! My parents always taught me if it ain't broke don't fix it. Shortcuts on the TV is the only way to go. You set the DVR to record the rest of the games you didn't get to see and I had till I deleted them. Now I can't DVR or record any of them and I only have till Wednesday to watch all the games on stream? That's ridiculous! I work 70 hours a week which doesn't leave a lot of time for me to stream the games before I go to bed. PLEASE PUT THEM BACK ON TV! We all paid for that feature to be on the TV so give the customers what we paid for!

We've been DTV customers for 20 years, with all offered movies channels, and a monthly bill of $250. The ONLY reason we've stuck with them is because of Sunday Ticket, and the ONLY thing that made Sunday Ticket worth the ridiculous price was the SHORT CUTS. By getting rid of SHORT CUTS, they have eliminated the only reason to continue to subscribe to DTV.
We have cancelled our Sunday Ticket, and are now looking into a new provider altogether.
I pay to watch the games on my 65 inch TV, not my 19 inch laptop.
I thought this was directTV?????

We've been DirecTV customers since 1996. I can't agree more with Poslio. Short Cuts are the only reason we have stayed with DTV and the only way to watch Short Cuts that's worth the price is on a HDTV. With a company named DirecTV you would think the first place you would watch something would be on the TELEVISION! We too are looking at alternate providers and seriously thinking about dropping DirecTV.

I couldn't agree more. As a longtime customer whose bill is over $200 a month too, this is just ridiculous and completely unacceptable.

I doubt it was the NFL's mandate. They didn't steal RedZone, FantasyZone, and GameMix from TV customers and force them onto the garbage app so, why Shortcuts? The only way it does make sense is if the NFL is deliberately devaluing Sunday Ticket to promote Game Pass, which would be inexcusable. I already pay through the nose, if they think I'm paying for two services, they're out of their gourds. Why would DTV agree to be forced into that? ST is their bread and butter and the bait they use to lure most new customers. Without it, they die. Literally the only thing other thing they have to recommend them is "well, at least it isn't Comcast", which is faint praise at best. Ticking off PAYING Sunday Ticket customers seems like the stupidest thing they could possibly do.
