Ipad app for DirectTV not connecting to Genie

After downloading the app, I tried to sign in, to which it gave me an error that the profile isn't active.  Then I tried registering my ipad with the receiver, and got an error of, "We couldn't connect to your DVR."  Says it requires a receiver model of HR44 or higher (mine is the HR45).  Must also be an HD DVR, and connected to the high speed internet." Both of those are good.  Under 'Receiver Control', there isn't a listing of my receiver.  Not sure if it makes a difference, but my ipad is wireless, and the receiver is wired by ethernet.

Sorry to read of the trouble you are having. What troubleshooting have you performed? Has the DVR been reset? Is the DVR connected via a wired connection or wireless?
