Unable log in app, using samsung galaxy note 8, code 100001 or do not recognize password or EMAIL to log in, already notified ATT tech support, was told was aware of situation, and are working on it,,,,that was 2 weeks ago from today 6/5/2018,,,this issue first occurred over month ago, after many resets and uninstalling app, frustration

We have a great thread which goes over troubleshooting the DirecTV App. I know you've completed some steps listed; however, I'd like to make sure you have the latest software on your phone, and browser. Please take a look at our Device Support Center for further instruction on how to check the software on your phone. First ensure your specific device is selected, then go to System & storage > Software update.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and I have downloaded the Direct tv app error 100001 keep coming up. I have unable to access this app for very long time. I am thinking I need to change my service since no one can help me very soon.

I tried it all. NOTHING WORKED ON TWO SEPARATE NEW PHONES.
I am paying you people for DirecTV. Fix this NOW. Don't post another useless link. You are useless.

Same error 100001 on Sams 8. Urgh! I've changed the password numerous times, removed the app completely and reinstalled, rebooted the phone, and nothing is working.

Just tried to log in today, no bueno. Kids iPhones no problem, connects right up. But the guy who pays the bill can't get logged in. Error: 100001
Hope my auto pays work next cycle.

We have noticed that some of our customers are using a non-att.net email to sign in like gmail you ymail. You may need to create an att.net ID and move your account and accept terms & conditions which is mentioned in our streaming article. If the issue persists, chat with us to report it.

I've been following this thread for a while hoping for an answer. I've only used an att.net email and this has never worked on my Samsung S8. Assuming the next fix will come 6 months down the road telling me to do something I've already tried. Part of the value proposition with DirecTv is the ability to stream from my android or my receiver, that is why I pay a premium vs. Ytube or Sling

Me too........... Hours on the phone with customer service. No results. transferred, disconnected.... Direct tv needs work in the customer service dept....

Pathetic customer service. Have the same issue for 3 months. Had the same issue about 1 year ago and they fixed but happened again. Error 100001 - and the technical support team acts like they have never heard of this issue before. Tens of hours on the phone and can't get anywhere. Can't even get them to escalate to someone who actually knows what they are talking about. The issue is not with the phone or the app. I can log into my AT&T app, but not the Directv app on multiple cellular devices and on my computer. It all started with their awesome idea to consolidate billing and accounts AT&T wireless and Directv. Unacceptable for the amount I pay on a monthly basis. Streaming services are sounding much more appealing by the minute and I have been with Directv for 20 years.
