DirectTv App not Mirroring

I just got the Genie installed today and was informed when I signed up that I would be able to mirror on my smart tv’s. This didn’t happen! Downloaded app but it only give me the option to stream or view it on either of the two tv’s with a genie receiver?! Was this false advertisement or why isn’t it allowing me to mirror on smart tv?

The DirecTV satellite app for your smart device does not support casting/streaming to a TV.  It's intended to be used in conjunction with a Genie DVR to view or download the DVR recordings to your smart device on its own display.

Switch screens is not streaming the app to the TV. It simply sends a request to your account down to the box to tune to that channel so you could watch uninterrupted. I agree the wording on that should be reviewed so other people like yourself do not misinterpret it.

That doesn't say to a TV just a big screen like a tablet. There is a feature that allows On Demand to be placed in a folder on the DVR to be resumed on the TV.
