I can’t log into my directv app on my iPad or iphone. It tells me that I need to go to att.com/myAT&T and sign in with my att access Id. When I go and set it up them try to type it in it says that there a problem with the I’d and to sign in with a different one. How do I get into this app????

We understand how frustrating not being able to sign in can be, but not to worry we're here to help! You will want to create your new AT&T Access ID and add your DIRECTV account under that access ID in order to sign into your DIRECTV app. Follow the steps listed in this AT&T Access ID support article to get started. Please note that there are two tabs, one for creating your Access ID, and another for Adding your accounts. If you have any concerns after completing these steps fell free to reach back out!

wait a minute - I have had this same issue ever since my account got migrated from Directv to ATT. are you telling me, that the best way to fix this issue is to create a new access ID?

Im having the exact same issue, they combined my ATT and Directv accounts and now I can not log into Directv app or watch tv on my computer because it doesnt like my ATT login and the old login I had doesnt work.

I really hate this company!! I have been having this issue for weeks. They keep telling me to reset my password and it still doesn't work I was just on with them this morning and they said oh we'll reset your password and it'll be fine. Well I did that and all i can log in to is the att website to see my bill. If I try to log in to directv.com to stream on my computer it tells me my account is locked. when I try to use the app on my iphone it goes into an endless loop where it says that it doesn't recognize my user id/password and redirects me back to the app store page to open the app!! Why can't att fix this problem already? This is ridiculous. At this point I"m pretty close to just cancelling my account and cutting the cord altogether. Awful.

Same issue for us. Contract is up in April. App has stop working all together and I’m lucky if it stays connected to my dvr for a whole month at a time without major intervention. Spent a hour with tech support last night, nothing. Someone was supposed to follow up, have they....NO!

Me too. I watched a show last week on ABC app, no problem. Now I go to watch a different show and I can't access the provider app login on ABC. I can watch it easy on my desktop and supposedly on all devices which are approved and verified but still can't access on my phone. (Android). ABC is trying to help me but it seems to be a Directtv issue. I can access Dish network, Xffinity and AT&T on the provider log in. Maybe I need to switch back to Dish and then watch the shows on my phone. Hmmm

Hello @Natalieb81, currently there is a known issue with the DirecTV APP, and our technicians are currently working on fixing.
We also have a troubleshooting forums post, that may be of use to you while we work to resolve this issue.
Currently, there is no ETA on when the issue will be resolved, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for responding Mihai but honestly this is not a helpful response. This issue has been happening for weeks for many of your customers and yet no one in your tech department seems to know how to resolve it. I was on the phone for 45 minutes the other day with tech support and while the rep was very kind and worked through possible solutions with me none of them worked. She then said she had to send in a ticket and it would take 48 hours to correct. Well its 48 hours later and its still not working. I don't understand why this can't be resolved. It's pretty clear that it started when ATT merged their website with Directv's site and did this whole "all access ID" thing. I'm no tech expert but it seems like you either need to go back and fix something in the coding, or uncouple the sites and let people have separate logins for att.com and directv.com. From what I've read elsewhere that seems to be the only solution that works. At this point I'm pretty close to just canceling my account and going to streaming services instead. Direct TV has been nothing but headaches- yes their video quality is quite good but customer service is very poor, the price keeps going up (don't get me started on the fact that your one-year intro offer is essentially a bait and switch) and my TV stops working any time it rains or the wind blows a block away.

I would honestly have expected the app to be repaired by now. I am sorely disappointed. I usually have issues keeping my dvr connected but this will be the final straw for me to cut the cord all together. I basically pay for directv to stream and dvr. Hulu live can do that FAR cheaper.
