Ticket Twosdays for DirecTV customers

I don't have AT&T service, but am a DirecTV subscriber.  It says that we're eligible for the program, but when I try to register, I'm told I can't do so with my DirecTV account.  Then how am I supposed to do this?

@BklynTLC as long as your DIRECTV account is in good standing you should be eligible for the ticket twosdays. I would go to https://www.att.com/att/attthanks/en/benefits.html to begin the redemption process.

Ticket Twosdays: Eligibility: AT&T postpaid wireless (excludes data-only plans), DIRECTV (excludes DIRECTV NOW), U-verse TV and AT&T Internet customers (excludes DSL, Fixed Wireless Broadband and dial-up services) in good standing. Excludes Cricket and AT&T PREPAID customers, business accounts and AT&T employees. Buy one ticket for any Tuesday showing of a standard 2D movie at select theaters, get one of equal or lesser value free for the same movie. Limit one free ticket per account per week. Supplies of free tickets are limited and the number of free tickets available each week will be set by AT&T in its sole discretion and may vary. Once all available tickets for a particular week have been claimed, AT&T will update att.com/tickettwosdays. Online account validation required. Wireless customers must consent to receive a validation code by text message to the wireless number provided; Standard text & data rates apply. Once validated, customer will be directed to redemption website to purchase tickets. Discount code will be automatically applied at checkout. Discount code valid for 6 days from account validation; must revalidate account if tickets not purchased at time of validation. AT&T cannot guarantee ticket availability for all movie titles or show times. Additional restrictions apply. Terms subject to change at any time without notice. The following type of customers may be legally prohibited from accepting gifts from AT&T and are not eligible : a. Immediate family members, dependents or households of anyone in category (a) thru (c) above.

I would contact customer care at (800) 531- 5000. Ask them about your status they should be able to see if you would qualify. There should also be a troubleshooting option for the customer care team to follow if you are eligible.

This movie ticket deal is the most complex process that results in failure for any DIRECTV customer because DIRECTV customers are not able to sign in or create an ATT account and therefore are prevented from verifying an ATT account.  Its so frustrating I think I'll cancel my DIRECTV account.  I've been working on this for 2 hours and if I see that stupid att webpage again that shows the lady and bucket of popcorn I will scream.  Its a vicious circle and a PR catastrophe.

The above link does not work. AT&T needs to correct this. I have contacted them to no avail. The customer Service dept. does not have the answer, nor does direct tv customer service!

Ticket Twosdays is so hard to sign up for unable to access any information about it. Same thing with Directv now I set up my account was able to access on my laptop for two days, the next time I logged in it was telling me that I needed to subscribe to all the channels. Have no way to get to it again and unable to get any help. I wish there was a way to get out of my contract with Directv I had nothing but problem after problem. Extremely disappointed and aggravating.

I have tried that same thing is happening. It tell me that I need to purchase are subscribe to Directv. I have tried every way possible that I can think of to get it working again.

@mdram4x4, is right - the best way to redeem your Ticket Tuesdays is through the app.

 

However, if you do want to redeem your tickets online, you can visit – https://www.att.com/att/attthanks/en/benefits.html and then:

    1. Click the hyperlink in the Ticket Tuesdays tile that says: “See Complete Details and Redeem Now”
    2. Click “redeem your tickets online now”, under the iOS/Android badge icons.
      • Login with your AT&T Access ID credentials to get your tickets for Ticket Tusdays.
