I didn’t have an online account on DIRECTV, so why should I register for one on myAT&T?
Registering your myAT&T account gives you access to pay your bill, view your bill, and many other options. It is a convenient way to manage your account without having to call in.
If I don't accept the T&Cs when I sign into myAT&T the first time, can I keep managing my account on DIRECTV?
No, you will not be able to manage your DIRECTV account.
I have the DIRECTV app already, so why do I need to download the myAT&T app?
With the myAT&T app, you can view your view or pay your bill, make changes to your account and manager your equipment.
You will still use the DIRECTV APP to stream. Text the word myATT to 556699 from any device to download it.
I see all the great things I can do on the myAT&T app that I couldn’t do on the DIRECTV app. What is the deal?
With the myAT&T app, you can view or pay your bill, manage your plan or equipment. You can also troubleshoot your DIRECTV service. Calling in is in the past!
Which site do I use for what (e.g., view bill, pay bill, order PPV, view recorded programs, change package)?
You can use the myAT&T app or att.com to view or pay your bill, change your package, or manage your equipment. To order Pay Per View or stream, you will use the DIRECTV app.
Can I switch back to managing my account on the DIRECTV site?
No, to manage your account, you will need to use the myAT&T app or online via att.com.
Why do I keep getting shuttled back and forth between the AT&T and DIRECTV websites?
To stream your service, you will still use directv.com/entertainment. To view your account, you will use att.com. We are looking at ways to improve the experience.
I didn’t ask to manage my account on AT&T, why did you force me to change and not my next-door neighbor?
Our customers deserve the best experience. The myAT&T allows us to give our customers that. We are slowly migrating our customers to the new experience.
Why didn't you tell me you were making me manage my account on ATT.com? I just tried to log in today and was sent to AT&T and thought I'd been hacked.
We sent our customers text & email notifications regarding the change. Our apologies if we caught you by surprise. Setting up the new experience is easy.
Since I now will be managing my account on myAT&T, does that mean, will I have one ID and password for all my AT&T services?
It depends on what you want to do. You can combine your bills and use one ID to view them or, you can keep your bills separate and link an account your ID. You can also combine your IDs to make it easier. For ease of use we recommend using one User ID to manage all your AT&T Services but there are some cases where you may choose to keep them separate.
What does it mean to link accounts?
This means you are linking, for example, your DIRECTV account to your Wireless AT&T User ID. It makes it easier when you need to access multiple accounts (This does not combine your bill)
Why am I logged into my Wireless account when I want to log in to my DIRECTV account?
It appears you have multiple User IDs and you are signing in with a User ID for another account, like Wireless or Internet. We recommend combining these accounts to view all of your accounts. Can’t remember your DIRECTV User ID? We have you covered.
Heads Up: There are some DTV Accounts that cannot be linked at this time, but we are in the process of making this a possibility. We appreciate your patience while we get this working for you.
