Cancel Directv but keep AT&T internet?

 I have Directv as my TV provider and AT&T for our internet/Wifi.  I'm tired of Directv:  too pricey even at lowest package and I'm tired of not being able to watch NBC or CBS due to whatever this standoff is that they have going on....  Can I ditch Directv but still keep AT&T internet, which I DON'T have issue with?

Sure you can cancel DirecTV and keep your AT&T internet service.  Just call 1 800 531 5000 and say "cancel" at the voice prompt.  Realize that you may owe an Early Termination Fee if you're still within the 24-month contract. And if you're getting any discounts for combined AT&T and DirecTV services, you'll lose those.

Also check to see if you actually have the lowest package. Many people find they have the 2nd or 3rd lowest package. I don't know what you have so this is just in case.

 

Starting from lowest: Family, Select, Entertainment, Choice, Xtra (or Preferred Xtra), Ultimate, Premier.
