ATT / DirecTV fraud

I originally had DirecTv installed 7/7/17.  I cancelled 8/12/2019 d/t the cost doubling.  They are charging me an "early cancellation" fee of $110.  They state I am cancelling early as I had new equipment installed since the initial date. The new equipment in question was the replacement of two wireless genie boxes that stopped working. The boxes BROKE and were replaced with refurbished boxes.  I installed them - DirecTv did not even come out to my house.  How is this an early termination?  I should have just continued to pay for services I wasn't receiving? At no time with either box, did anyone state I was extending my contract by replacing BROKEN equipment.  And just to add insult to injury, they are saying they've not received the equipment I returned last month.  UNBELIEVABLE.  ATT is a fraud, I'd been a DirecTv customer for nearly 20 years.  Never had a problem until AT&T bought them out.  AT&T are fraudulent.  I will post this comment wherever & whenever I can.  I've contacted the FCC with my complaint.
