No dial tone on business line; AT&T support won't answer the phone
I have a business landline with no dial tone. I have been on hold for 25 minutes waiting to get a live person on the line.
Is this AT&T's way of saying that I should be looking for another provider? I realize land lines aren't as exotic and modern as digital services but they are still needed: but if AT&T is eliminating customer support then I wouldn't really have a choice other than to find somebody else willing to provide the service I need, would I?

Somebody finally picked up and said she is in a different region so can't do anything. I'm being transferred to another department: whoever I spoke with before clearly didn't have a clue about who I needed to speak with and was just guessing.

"We are currently experiencing high call volume..." - so is AT&T trying to completely eliminate the support department?

"Sorry, that's handled by the AT&T legacy account department, you'll have to call another number"
