Can change the voice plan in between contract?

Hi, I would like to go for 900 minute monthly plan with ATT. In case this turns out to be way too much than what I consume, is there any possibility to change account to 450 Mins monthly?

 

If yes, are there any charges from ATT on this? Any particular limitation or downside of it?

Switching shouldn't be a problem. I've done it before.
