But I have a ?.....on either phone, what happens when you reach the 24?

next 24 is a 30 month payment plan

so at 24 months you can trade the device in for a new one and start over with the next plan

The Next 24 is a program where you can trade in your phone and get a new phone.  For example the Next 24 you can upgrade after 24 months.  What they do is split up the cost of the phone over 30 payments for the Next 24.  For the Next 12 you can upgrade after 12 months and they split up the payments over 20 months.  The Next 18 you can upgrade after 18 months and split up the payments over 24 months.

Thank you both for that info. 

But wouldn't it just make more sense to pay the $ 50 up front with the 2 year agreement and then upgrade then if you want or keep it until the next best thing is available? 

If you are on one of the newer shared plan you will lose your discount if you sign up for a 2 yr contract.
