Hey there @cnotp3,

Getting the latest security and software updates is important. I definitely keep on top of my updates as well! I would be happy to help.

Our Device Support Tool is a great resource to use for this. You can see the latest software information, including the security patch release dates. All you need to do is select your specific device > go to Tutorials> scroll down and choose Software updates. As far as I can see, the latest security patch was released on June 5, 2017.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach back out to us!

Your time is greatly appreciated, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week.

So it is past mid August and no July and no August Security patch. I have been told by two csr people that it is due to working on bringing Nougat to the Priv by mid September. They checked with the software update people.

Can you confirm this as being true? If you are not allowed to confirm this, can suggest we wait and see. If it is blatantly false, will you say so?

Let's see if I get an answer from the administrator. It would be nice to actually get a definitive answer that all us Priv people want.

@Theophilus

ask BB since its not even out for the unlocked privs they sold.  Once BB releases the update for the unlocked priv you will see att gain traction.  Myself I see it getting left behind.  Or it will get nougat and never see another update....  Its 2 year life span is almost here....

You didn't read what I said initially. Two ATT csr's said after checking with software update people that they were working on. Nougat for the Priv. That is why the delay in Security patches. I wanted to know if the csr's were being truthful, or misinformed.

BlackBerry has not said yes or no for the Nougat. I am wondering if that is due to the contract with TCL on the KEYone and they have had to wait a certain time period.

I can tell you from what I know CSR's dont know when a update is being released till the day its released most of the time we customers know before the CSR teams.

I wonder why this thread is marked "solved" when (a) no July update was ever issued by AT&T and (b) the new threads (here and on Crackberry) on the August update show what appears to be universal trouble among AT&T Priv owners. Hope it really does get solved soon, but certainly is not so far.

And yes, I have tried the support tutorial, etc. All roads lead back to the update function that fails repeatedly.
