Confused over GPS

I know the 8310 has GPS while the 8300 does not. However, I see some folks claim they get map help using Google Maps on an 8300. Is this correct? I really don't need true GPS since I have that in my car.

Google Maps will run on the 8300, but will only give you an approximate location based on the nearest cell tower unless you use a bluetooth GPS receiver.

Thanks! Does anyone know if the Garmin C550 GPS will connect via Bluetooth to provide satellite connectivity?

The Bluetooth on the standalone Garmin GPS units is only used for hands free calling, POI dialing and address book sync. Here's a list of supported features for the 8300.
