Do I qualify for an upgrade?

Got my iPhone 5c from a store at a discount price if I did a 2yr att contract. Paid the money have the contract. But I want to upgrade and I am eligibile for it but the iPhone screen is cracked fully working no issues just cracked. can I still upgrade? If no can I upgrade to att next? If I can upgrade to att next what happens to the 5c?
