"View Account" disappeared from iPad's Settings->Cellular Data
Months ago on my iPad I lost the "View Account" button from Settings->Cellular Data. I can renew or get data and international data plans via att.com/iPadlanding, but I prefer to get the feature back on my iPad. My guesses as to what caused it to disappear-- an iOS update, letting the AT&T data plan expire for a week before renewing it, a SIM card that got corrupted, or toddler grandkids who did something while using it. An Apple Tech suggested I install the myATT app and use that as an alternative, which I did but my userID & password that works for att.com/iPadlanding don't work for that. AT&T tech support seems to be unavailable for iPad users like me who don't have an ATT phone account (or a myATT login which seems to require an existing ATT phone account). Any suggestions on how to fix my iPad and how to get the ATT app to work?

Hello there, @iJimJones!
Further research reveals that the View Account feature was discontinued by Apple who controls what is in the device's software following update. An AT&T postpaid or prepaid account is required in order to register and use the myATT app.
We hope you find this info useful.

Greetings @iJimJones!
We recommend navigating to Settings and then click your name and see if the View Account button is there. Also, you should be able to access it via Apple Music, App Store, or the iTunes app.
We hope this info helps!

I tried clicking on my name in Settings but View Accounts is not there either. I am unsure what you mean about “accessing” in 2nd sentence. I opened App Store, Music, and iTunes Store and saw no View Accounts button. I did install the myATT app from the App Store but it won’t let me login with the username and password that I use at http://att.com/iPadlanding and if I try to register a new ID it requires an AT&T phone number or an Account number but I don’t have either since my only AT&T connection is to get a data plan or international data plan (non-renewing).

Hello @iJimJones,
Thanks for providing details of the steps you have completed! Since you are a data plan only customer, your renewal will need to be completed using the iPadlanding webpage you are using.
Thank you!

By your answer you imply that what once was possible and convenient on an iPad via Settings- CellularData- ATT:ViewAccount is no longer possible and one must now use the iPadlanding webpage to renew. Is this something you know? (what changed?) Is there anyone out there who are “data plan only customers” and still have the View Account button on the iPad?

You are not alone, JimJones!
I have an ATT data plan on my iPad, but I don’t have my cell phone under ATT. (I DO have my internet, tv, and land line phone with ATT.)
Like you, I also noticed “view account” disappeared a while back.
iPadLanding worked, but wasn’t as convenient.
Today, I updated my iPad operating system, and NOW, when I go to settings/cellular data, I get “Manage AT&T account,” click on that, and I am able to log in to my cellular data account! Hurray! Hope this works for you too!

Yep. I updated the latest Mac OS upgrade yesterday (iOS 12.2) and noticed that the Manage AT&T Account option under Settings->Cellular Data is back. Just in time for another renewal that I prefer not to do as an automatic renewal-- and it was such a pain doing in through the web interface. I am a happy camper. iOS 12.2 was the first upgrade in a long time in which I saw a real benefit.

I want to change the credit card on my ATT Data Plan before the current card expires. When I click on the Account Settings under Manage AT&T Account, I get an error message saying "Please close the page and reopen View Account." BUT there is NO View Account available.
What can I do to change my credit card #?

Hello @todikiaios, we'd be happy to help and provide more information on how to update your credit card details on your account.
You'll need to proceed through the myAT&T app or online and do the following:
If you're unable to access the website online, we'd advise for you to clear your cookies and cache data then try again.
We'd recommend for you to give these steps a try and let us know how this helped! Thanks for contacting the AT&T Community for help.
