Q: When will the phones be available for purchase?

A: Online pre-order begins on Friday, September 14,2018. It will also be available for purchase online and in store starting September 21, 2018.

Q: What is the difference between iPhone XS and XS Max?

A: The main difference is that the iPhone XS Max has the largest display of the two and longer battery life. Both them share the same features such as dual SIM and 12MP dual cameras.

Q: Is a wireless charger included?

A: The iPhone XS and XS Max are compatible with wireless chargers but one is not included with the device.

Q: Does the phone come with wireless headphones?

A: Both phones do not come with wireless headphones like the Apple AirPods, which need to be purchased separately. The EarPods with Lightning Connector (wired) are included, but the headphone jack adapter or “dongle” is no longer included.

Q: I currently have an iPhone, how can I keep and transfer my contacts to my new phone?

A: First, make sure to back up your data first either with iTunes or iCloud. When you’re ready to transfer, sign into your iCloud account and select “Restore from a backup.”

Q: Can I trade in my old phone to help pay for the new iPhone XS?

A: AT&T has a device trade in program available online and in stores. Check out the following link to start the trade in process and get additional details: https://tradein.att.com/#/start-a-trade/discover-device-value.

Q: What does dual SIM mean and how can I use it?

A: Both the iPhone XS and XS Max support dual SIM, meaning that there are two SIM cards: a physical nano SIM  and an eSIM card (digital). This allow you to have two phone numbers or wireless plans linked to the same phone. Later this year Apple will release an update to iOS 12 to support the eSIM feature.

Q: Can I use an Apple Pencil with these phones?

A: The Apple Pencil is compatible with the iPad Pro and iPad (6th gen) but will not work with an iPhone.
