I have been AT&T 5 years customer. I have purchased iPhone X from Bestbuy last year than connect AT&T. Now I want to change Verizon and the SIM can't activate. It was locked by AT&T and I have requested to unlock my phone . First, Technical team said 48 hours than it was still lock and they change 72 hours again . It was very bad. I have paid it all by retail price and not from AT&T at all . Why do they want my device ,money and waste my time .

I had the same problem. The phone was purchased at full price from Apple in February. I added it to my line that had a payment plan for another device. Even though I've paid off that payment plan and this line no longer has any payment plan (installment plan), AT&T system keeps telling me my device has a payment plan and cannot be unlocked. I wait the 48 hours they request, then resubmit with no luck. I am getting very frustrated as I need this phone unlocked for an upcoming trip.

I am getting the same 'run around.' I think its a scam and that ATT should be reported to the proper authorities (states attorney general etc.)
