That is a question for Apple.

My guess is the end of September but only Apple knows the answer.

Why don't you look at the history of releases?

Does anyone think the new device will be called iPhone 10 or iPhone X instead of iPhone 8? It would take advantage of it being the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, and also be a way to differentiate from Samsung which released the Galaxy S8 earlier this year. What are people hearing??

@ichibon September 22nd would be my guess.

AT&T (or maybe it was it Apple) employees have been told to not take vacation after the 17th.

Apple will launch the iPhone in September as scheduled, but that it won't be available for sale until October. Economic Daily News originally said the iPhone 8 could be delayed until October or November because of technical issues with the display lamination process, but has now reversed course and does not believe there are serious delays. If they follow the pattern they have been following, the next iPhone will be a 7s, not an 8. Being the 10th anniversary, who knows what they will call it.
