Re: iPhone 7 factory unlock

This is probably the most asked question. I've been with AT&T for over 13 years now probably another 20 years throughout my career move where is was available. Here's my issue, I've been using apples iPhone since he 3GS mostly used Apple Store after the iPhone were sold and used with other carriers. Last Friday, like a lot of folks did, I woke up at 3 am, like I normally do for apple launches. Instead of using Apple Store like I've done years after year, I tried something different, I used AT&T on line to order. I had secured 2 black iPhones 7 plus by est 03:30 and got a visual conformation that they'd be delivered on the 16th. At around 1230 that day I receive to confirmations with shipping dates of 23-30 sep. what happen to my order between 0330 and 1230. They've had a status of preparing to ship since the 10th. Ive Calle and a CS rep told me the were in a warehouse getting prepared. Can someone from AT&T hierarchy answer my question? This is the First time since the 3GS I'm not getting the iPhone on the launch day? WHY? Dan, from vine grove ky.

So all the other years you ordered from the manufacturer and got it on release day and this year you ordered from someone else and this year you did it different and you you did not get it on release day...

Re: iPhone 7 factory unlock

I had an Iphone 6 Plus that I tried to replace screen I got from Amazon and I used a slightly larger screw on lcd plate when assembling. Screw went through logic board. IfixYourI free diagnostcs said it would be $150 repair. Tookk to ATT to trade for Iphone 7 Plus.  Screenworked and display was clear. The left side of touch screen didnt work. I owed $159 on installment plan. They were going to give me $64 for phone! I told the guy he was nuts. ATT will fix it for nothing and sell it refurbished for $500. I turned around and sold phone "parts only" on Ebay and got $200 essentially paying off phone and almost covering $60 in taxes needed up front when ordering Iphone 7 plus. Bottom line like whats being mentioned in this forum is sell your phone on Ebay or Gazelle. You will be better off.

Re: iPhone 7 factory unlock

Is it best to just switch your sim card to avoid the activation fee or use the new one that comes with the phone? The 6 was with AT&T and I purchased the unlocked AT&T outright from Apple? I was just wondering if its best to use the new sim card or transfer?

I'm not sure, but you might want to try and activate WiFi Calling on the iPhone 7 (think of it as a built-in microcell).

Re: iPhone 7 factory unlock

I was at a fundraising event in NYC in October and bid on a brand new iPhone 7 and won it.  I received the phone yesterday and was told in the letter to contact AT&T to activate it.  I live in Toronto and was wondering how I could have this phone unlocked to use on my plan here in Canada.  Can you give me some assistance please?
