Re: iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Launch

If you are eligible for an upgrade, what kind of discount do you get on the iphone 7 plus?

$0 discount.

These days, upgrades only let you stop making payments on your old phone.

If your old phone is an iPhone you'd do better paying it off and selling it to Gazelle.com or eBay, you'll likely get more than those last 6-8 payments.

Re: iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Launch

I thought the phones were cheaper if you were eligible for an upgrade :-(

We are grandfathered in on the unlimited plan.

Thanks for the info!  We always pay for ours upfront, no monthly payments.  So i guess the 'upgrade' now means nothing to us.

Re: iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Launch

You are referring to contract subsidy sales, which are not offered by any carrier anymore.

Nope, no subsidized phones on those plans any more, that means you're "secretly" paying an extra $17.50 a line (approx.) to keep those unlimited plans (since that isn't going towards new phones any more). $35+$17.50= $52.50 a line.

Plus, you're paying for minutes and texting. If you're not using more than 15GB a month per line, you should really check into the Mobile Share plans...  Even if you use more, it might still be cheaper for you...

Re: iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus Launch

When I got my iPhone 6s I had to pay taxes & such up front (@$100) & then begin my installment plan w/ my next bill. I was just wondering if it would be the same w/ preordering. What do would I have to pay upfront? My current installment is already paid in full

What is the difference between the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 plus
Is the plus big like the 6s

Re: Iphone7

Thanks Gary,

It's been a few years since I really checked what I was getting with my unlimited data and how everything has changed.

The last time I upgraded, I think the subsidies were still in place.

I will just be switching over the ATT Next when I get the iPhone 7 ordered tomorrow.

I was wondering why ATT chat was so helpful in letting me try and keep my unlimited plan. I guess I understand why now Smiley Happy
