iPhone 6 Plus unlock

Hello. I have a iPhone 6 Plus that I wanted to unlock to connect it with metro pcs. I submitted the request online already and received instructions having to use a att SIM card which I do not have. I did not receive a code, how do I get a code to unlock?

iPhones use an alternative process rather than unlock codes to unlock the device. The steps are as follows:

While using a Non-AT&T SIM
1. Remove the old AT&T SIM card, and insert the new SIM card from the desired carrier. In this case, MetroPCS.
2. Complete the setup process.

While using an AT&T SIM Card
1. Backup your iPhone.
2. After the backup has been performed, Factory Reset your iPhone.
3. Restore your iPhone to the backup that you just made.

Iphones don’t have unlock codes. You may have gotten the wrong unlock instructions. All you need to do to complete the unlock is to put the metro pcs SIM card into the phone.
