Just curious if anyone else is experiencing the same issues...
My home calling area has absolutely terrible cell reception... switching from Verizon to AT&T and it's just a tiny bit better but that's not saying much. Still plagued with dropped calls and inconsistant reception. Needless to say, Wifi calling hasn't solved much either.... I notice that when enabled, my cellular connectivity actually drops and gets worse, not to mention no matter how close or how far I am away from the wireless router - my phone likes to bounce between wifi calling and standard cellular connectivity. Only problem with this is there's a 3-4 second lapse of any sound or noise... super annoying and frustrating.
Tried all the normal remedy issues and it's not having any effect. Does anyone have any ideas? I am interested in the AT&T cellular boosters for my house, but not liking that I should have to purchase it since it's AT&T that's strugging getting the service that I'm paying for to me..

I’m sorry to hear about the reception in your home! Reliable signal is the most important part of any cellular experience!
Feel free to send us network feedback using our Mark the Spot application, so our network engineers can look into the area!
As far as your Wi-Fi calling bounce/delay you might be able to mitigate this by turning your iPhone to airplane mode before using Wi-Fi calling (this will likely require that you reconnect to Wi-Fi first).
That would prevent your device from detecting and bouncing the call back to the cell tower.
A Microcell could be a solution as well, in essence it does the same job as Wi-Fi calling, although you can connect multiple devices to it!
I appreciate you reaching out about this. Welcome to the AT&T Community!

Been using the mark the spot application for sometime but really haven't seen any improvement or had any reasonable feedback from it's use. I'm interested in the Microcell seeing that wifi calling has been patchy at best working at my home.

Hi there @JohnnyDoe!
Cool! Some people find the Microcell to be the perfect solution to their needs.
Here are some quick requirements to check before moving forward, this is in reference to your home internet service (as the unit piggybacks off of this to boost your signal):
If you’re ready to take the next step, please visit the nearest COR retail store to purchase it, and/or to view available offers for them.
Have an awesome day!

How much are the microcells? Are there any special pricing promotions for these? Not to happy about having to buy one just to be able to receive the service I'm paying for....

Anyone else having problems putting their phone into airplane mode then turning on wifi to utilize wifi calling only (where it doens't try bounce between cellular and wifi)? When I attempt to do this on my iPhone 7 Plus and try to make a phone call or send an SMS/MMS text, I get an error that says 'Could Not Activate Cellular Data Network'

Hello again @JohnnyDoe!
I can definitely understand your trepidation there!
The Microcell retails for $149.99, however you’ll want to visit a store to see if they have any localized promotions for it (As is sometimes done for low coverage areas).
Thanks for being a part of the Community!

I've been using AT&T for over two year and the reception is desirable. You can give it a try. Also, Wi-Fi calling works according to your network. If you have a good network, it should be great.

AT&T has definitely been the better of the carriers at my house, not so much at my work. The Wifi calling works ok, but it is an alternative option when I'm in areas of my home and work that have little to no coverage.
