WiFi Calling on iPhone 5s

I just dont understand why my iPhone 5s does not have WiFi calling on it after all the new updates, why is it that AT&T does not offer it to iPhone 5 user when the manufacturer says it is capable to have it. Some people just cant afford to get a new phone every time, it would go a long ways with subscriber loyalty if the AT&T would offer the newer technologies on some older phones, plus it would be handy when there is a tower outage like there is today in Andrews Texas.

The iPhone 5s does not support HD Voice or VoLTE, both of which are required for WiFi calling on ATT. Sorry, but there is no software update that will change that. If you want WiFi calling, you will need a newer phone.

@Turnbull1171   ATT didn’t get approval from the FCC for Wifi calling in time to request it for the 5S.

They aren’t going to pay to get a phone that old approved.

FYI the iPhone SE will get Wifi calling on a postpaid Account and is available for $150 if you buy it off the prepaid rack at Best Buy.
