Voicemail service not available

Phone:  HTC A9

When accessing voicemail I get the "Service Not Available" message.  It has been this way for the last 5 days ...

This is the first time this has happened in the last 4 years.

Thank you ...

I just noticed this same problem today on my Samsung S7.  I saw the voicemail icon and dialed voicemail.  I dialed my password and got the message "service not available".  I tried turning on airplane mode, waiting 10 seconds, turning off airplane mode, and dialed voicemail - same results.  I tried turning off the phone, waiting 10 seconds, turning it back on, and dialed voicemail - same results.

I reset my voicemail password via the myAt&t app, then dialled voicemail - same results.  Finally, I dialed voicemail and entered random characters as the password, and got the same message, "service not available", not a message about entering an incorrect password.  I tried dialing voicemail from my wireless phone and also from a landline.  In all cases, after being prompted for a password, and then entering a password, after a few seconds an automated voice announces "Service not available".

Hello Community,

I apologize for the delay in responding to this thread. We’re aware that some customers may be having difficulty retrieving their voicemail due to a vendor server problem. We’re in contact with the vendor as they work to fix it.

If you would like to get your voicemail back immediately, please call us and request to have a new voicemail box set up. However, please know that all voicemail history will be lost.

Thanks and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Hello, @justme12,

Let's look at your Visual Voicemail. Have you been able to access data over the days Visual Voicemail has been down for you? If not or if you don't know, check to make sure cellular data is turned on. Go to Settings>Cellular Data>On.

If it's not an issue with your data, you may need to reset your network settings. Go into Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. At this point, you should need to enter your passcode. After, tap on Reset Network Settings.

If neither helps, let us know so we can continue to investigate.

Anyone else have Visual Voice Mail unavailable - Call Voicemail. Been this way for two days now. Going to Voicemail on my iPhone Xs Max thats what I get - if I select Call Voicemail that works fine. I have restarted the iPhone numerous times, and have even left it off for half hour or so too.

Thanks

Hi, I'm having the same issue on both of my Note 10. I receive voicemail but the visual voicemail app (came pre-installed) is not working properly (doesn't display received voicemail) and no it is not AT&T branded. At least on the play store the At&t visual voicemail app is not compatible with this device.
