Unlock request approved but no confirmation email

I requested an unlock 4 days ago and when I check the status using the IMEI and request number, it says that the unlock was approved.

I have not yet received a confirmation email.  I have checked my inbox and junk folder.  Do I need this email for anything additional, or should I consider that the unlock is completed?

Thank you

Hey @cristina_r11!

This is awesome news when the Unlock Request is showing as approved!  In most cases when you check the status with your IMEI and Request Number, it should show on the right.  On the left of your response page, there should be a short list of final steps.  If you see this, you can definitely follow those and complete the process.

With Apple devices, you will not need a code to complete the unlock, instead it is completed once the device is backed up, reset, and restored. One of the best methods in my experience is completing the back-up and restore via iTunes.  This is because iTunes will actually confirm the phone is unlocked.

You would need to connect to iTunes, and select the phone you are unlocking.  Then you will want to click Back Up Now.   It will take a few moments for iTunes to save all of your information on the phone.

Once all your information is saved, and you can see the backup via iTunes Preferences > Device (or Edit > Devices on Windows computers), the next step will be to reset the phone.  Please go into Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings.  This will wipe the phone completely, and cause it to reboot.

When the phone comes up to the “Hello” screen, you would follow the prompts and select Restore From iTunes when it comes available.  As soon as the restore is done, you are all set.

Hope this helps, have a fantastic day!

Good morning @rdcristian24.

Thank you for participating in the Community Forums.  I see you posted a message inquiring about not receiving an unlock code after an approval.  I have sent you a Private Message to your Forum’s Inbox addressing your concerns.

I will be looking forward to your response.  I wish you the best, and have a great day!
