RoboKiller app and Voicemail

I installed the RoboKiller app and that works great for blocking unwanted calls however now my voicemail doesn’t work. Nobody is able to leave me a voice mail and keeps telling callers voicemail not set up even though it has been set up for years. Please help, I need my voicemail but love the app and don’t want to have to delete it I don’t have to.

Hi @mykids54321

Thank you for reaching out to us today. We'll be happy to assist you.

If you have an Android, try starting your phone in safe mode. This will start your phone without any third party apps and will help us determine if RoboKiller is the cause of the issue. Turn your device off, then press the power button. When the animation starts, press and hold the volume down button. Keep holding it until the animation ends and your device starts in safe mode. You'll see "Safe mode" at the bottom of your screen. Then have someone call you and let it go to voicemail to see if they are able to leave a voicemail.

If you have an iPhone, your best bet would be to either contact the developer for further assistance or uninstall the app.

You can find information on some of the tools we offer to combat robocalls here. Hope this helps!

I also had this problem.  I was unaware I had not been receiving any voicemails for a long period of time.  After hours on the phone with ATT, it was discovered my voicemails were being forwarded to an unknown number associated with the Robokiller App.  I had to delete the app and go through the steps to ensure it was completely cleaned from my phone.  ATT also deleted the call forwarding number.  God knows how many important messages I never received.

I also had this problem. The Robokiller app secretly forwards your calls to another number and it does not remove that forwarding just be deleting the app. See link below for carrier specific instructions.

I also had this problem. After not getting anywhere with ATT by phone and in person, I figured out it was related to having installed Robokiller. I used the Robokiller chat support function, and they were able to do some registration and walk me through authentication, and also make sure the right ATT numbers were in their system. They explained that ATT uses a different number than my incoming phone number for voice mail. They were able to retrieve that number and enter it in their system. My voice mail works perfectly now. The chat function worked really well.

Had the same issue with Robokiller, here is how to fix per their support:  If you are trying to stop calls from going to your RoboKiller voicemail, you can do this with our tool at: https://DeactivateMyPhone.com/

This tool helps TrapCall, RoboKiller, WhoApp and NoMoreVoicemail users ensure these services are fully deactivated from their phones.

Same here - RoboKiller (Edited per community guidelines)! Use another party. I deleted it and disputed the charge with AMEX and got a full refund. Shame on this sucky company!

This is the best source for removing the app.

Been there, done that

NOTHING WORKS.... The deactivate tool sends programming codes (##004# etc) to do this. ALL fail

I have been working with Robokiller support for 3 months now.  AT&T claims everything is fine on their end

I'm unemployed and missing calls from recruiters. I NEED this APP GONE
