We like to advise that unless those text messages were saved to a backup service such as AT&T Messages Backup & Sync, once deleted, there is no way to recover those messages.
There are so many people posting desperately about this on so many sites, it is really lame and outrageous that a company like ATT can't get their @#$% together enough to find a solution to this.
