Re: Phone is saying no sim activated?

Hello @schwamx

We're more than happy to help!

Do you currently have a Postpaid/Prepaid service with AT&T? Did you add or changed the physical SIM card in the XR device? Is the Cellphone AT&T branded or is from a different carrier?

In order to connect your device to the AT&T cellular network, you would need a QR activation code to install a cellular plan. To do so, you can visit your local AT&T corporate store or access our AT&T Activation website to get started.

Also, you can review our AT&T new phone or SIM article for more information and steps with setting up your eSIM card.

We hope this helps, and have a great weekend!

Re: Phone is saying no sim activated?

I have an unlimited plan, haven’t touched SIM port since purchasing phone, AT&T branded.

I did take SIM out and put it back in and phone appears to be working as normal, would still like to know if this is sign of somethingmore serious or just no big deal? Can I expect it to keep happening?

Re: Phone is saying no sim activated?

Hi, @schwamx,

We're glad to learn your iPhone is working properly now. A soft reset should clear everything up if it happens again. If that happens, press and quickly release the Volume Up button, press and quickly release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.

Have a great week!
