Phone case interferes with signal.

I just got my iPhone today. I bought a case from the mall a few weeks ago and it seems that every time I put my phone case on the phone it says no signal.. Lol. When I take it off, it says AT&T LTE again. It only happens when I throw the case on there. It's the weirdest thing! Has this happened to anyone else??

Metal dampens cellular signal. It's why metal buildings and homes with metal roof have weak indoor signal penetration. If you ask me using metallic paint on a cell phone case has to be one of the dumbest design decisions ever. One of the more reputable case manufacturers like Incipio, Speck or Lifeproof would never use that. 🙂

I figured it out. It has a metallic paint on the case. They say that for some odd reason it blocks the phones signal. Not sure why.
