No order confirmation email and order not showing up in my account...

I placed an order at 4AM Central. I never got a confirmation email and the order is not showing up in my account. I can pull it up via the order number (I printed the confirmation).

 

Anyone else had this issue?

 

Im going to be furious if I get kicked, when I ordered 12 hours before the deadline.

**UPDATE**
This DID affect my arrival time (assuming I made it in time for the Oct. 14th deliver)
My new estimated delivery is Oct. 24-31

Friday morning we ordered three iPhones and got confirmation emails with order numbers and shipping order numbers (not shipping tracking numbers or confirmation) on 10/6 roughly around 6pm central time. I login to ATT, click My Orders, and nothing is there.  Also, I check by my wireless number and nothing is there. 

 

I had a chat with ATT last night and this is what went down. I finally gave up {please keep it courteous}. I was also trying to be very very nice, but that didn't work either. Got nowhere.

 

Me: I have ordered three iPhone 4S on October 7th and received a confirmation email on oct 8th

Me: however

Me: when i log into my account and click order status

Me: it says no order can be found

Me: please help me.

Me: order numbers are ---- and ----

ATT Specialist: --- order has 2 16gb white

Me: yes

ATT Specialist: --- has 1 16gb white

Me: yes

Me: when will they be shipped?

Me: and why cant i see it online?

ATT Specialist: Because they are a pre order it makes it harder for you to see online.

ATT Specialist: If you placed your iphone 4s order before 5:30pm on 10/07 you will receive your device 10/14-10/15 if you placed your order after 5:30pm on 10/07 it can take up to 21 days for the device to reach you as all orders placed after 5:30 on 10/07 well be sent out starting 10/14.

Me: when did i place the order?

ATT Specialist: Late night on 10/08 that I see but your conformation email will have the exact times, sometimes we get the information late so you cant go by my time of order.

Me: so it is based on the time of the confirmation email. not the time of the order?

ATT Specialist: It is based on the time of order for the shipping times yes.

Me: im confused, im sorry, you just wrote that i cant go by the time of the oder

Me: and the other one 6:26pm central time on 10/8

ATT Specialist: You would get the information of the time the order was processed in your conformation email, I how ever receive that information later so I can not go by the time I see as that would be after the conformation was sent to you.

Me: i placed the order on 10/7 at 11:00am

ATT Specialist: Well if you placed the orders at 11:00 then you will get them on 10/07-10/15

Me: what is the tracking number?

ATT Specialist: I There is no tracking number yet as the devices have not been shipped, on 10/13 log into your orders and they will have that for you.

Me: none of the devices have shipped? or just mine hasnt shipped?

ATT Specialist: Nobodys have shipped yet.

Me: and by placed, you mean called in and talked to someone to place the order, NOT when the confirmation email was sent?

Me: ok no problem i am also confused

ATT Specialist: As in when you clicked order and payment option and submit.

Me: I called on 10/7 at 11AM central time, talked to someone on the phone (an ATT rep) named -------- .

ATT Specialist: You will not get a tracking number untill 10/13 your device will not be at your door till 10/14-10/15

Me: I received a confirmation email on 10/8 at around 6pm and 7pm

Me: I accepted the terms

ATT Specialist: You will not get a tracking number untill 10/13 your device will not be at your door till 10/14-10/15

Me: So, my question is. Am I part of the group who was before 5:30PM or after?

ATT Specialist: You ordered your device before 5:30pm on 10/07 so you You will not get a tracking number untill 10/13 your device will not be at your door till 10/14-10/15

pcprincess, i had the exact same conversation this evening.

i ordered mine 7am on the 7th and got the confirmation email on the 9th after i called and reminded them. They claimed to have "reserved" my phone when the funds were approved through my bank. Now there is no transaction pending at my bank and they tell me they don't know when i will get my phone. i am REALLY upset right now. I have had problems with ATT in the past and have reluctantly stayed with them for 14 years. Now they have just flat out lied to me. If they had said "we messed up and are doing everything we can" i would be okay with it. The customer service manager told me that no pre-order cutomers will get their phone on the 14th. As i have read in this forum, many customers have shipping numbers and are expecting their phones. She then continued to blame it on Apple and the Chinese. I am very disappointed with ATT and will probably change my service after this contract. Thank you for letting me rant.

update: I still cannot see my order when i check the status online. i live chatted again with  customer care and they now say all three of my phones are backordered.

 

i just switched from sprint to ATT....i should have stayed with Sprint, this would never happen with them.

Lol you are right! All my friends [in person] that ordered from Sprint got shipping confirmations and tracking numbers on Monday! I didn't realize. Thanks for posting.

Update...didnt receive my terms & conditions email after ordering in the AM last Friday until Monday evening 5 est, I accepted same day, sent back & received my order conf email from {Personal content removed for your safety}...... tuesday afternoon.

 

I call back yesterday Rep says although I preordered on launch date the order was not processed until Wednesday & the iphone is now on backorder and no ETA on when I will receive a tracking number let alone the iphone so I asked to cancel my preorder since the order hasnt been processed yet, but they refused.

So this morning I went into an At&T store & purchased another iphone 4S on my husbands line (FAMILY PLAN) & had them switch the sim to my original line & was told I could return the phone whenever it eventually gets delivered. What a frustrating experience but at least I got an iPhone, please tell me again what's the point in preordering.

 

 I will be calling again to try to cancel my preorder since now Im reading on other threads that they are cancelling under certain circumstances,  its the least they can do after screwing up my order and taking no responsibility for it. How the heck can you process an order 5 days after I called it in and and say oops it wasnt entered until Wednesday, what poor service. I will be cancelling this preorder one way or another.
