How does the iPhone preorder process work?
I have two iPhone 8+ I am ready to trade in with the release of the newest iPhone in a few months. I’ve been with AT&T for years and familiar with the upgrade and trade process but not pre order. Is there an actual immediate cost to order the new phone ? I have no plans to change my service or plan but I am not getting a straight answer on how the pre order process works. Do I have to pay upon pressing the button to pre order ? Will it automatically change the price of my plan? Will the phone come to my store or my home ?

Allow us to lend a helping hand. Currently, there are no new models of the iPhone available for pre-order. However, we do have the iPhone XR for sale. Follow the link provided for more information.
If you were to pre-order a phone, you would either be charged for the full price of the device or for the taxes. The amount charged would depend on if you choose to pay the full cost of the phone or buy it on an installment plan.
Making a pre-order would not change the price of your plan, unless you choose to start an installment plan. When placing an online order, you're given the option to have the phone shipped to a store or your home. Thanks for reaching out to us.
