My voicemail which I did not record says "I am not checking messages for an extended period of time"

My voicemail which I did not record says "I am not checking messages for an extended period of time". I have been on the phone with two ATT tech support people who cannot fix this. I have re-recorded my usual message 4 times, save it each time and it never is the voicemail message. that those calling me hear.
Please help.

I have the same problem on my Samsung Galaxy A50. Spent almost an hour with "Jay" with AT&T. We reset my voicemail but the message remains - weird! I was told that the tech folks will research this and let me know what they find...
