Keeps putting 1 in front of number when sending text messages
This just started. I'm unable to send text due to it putting a 1 in front of 10 digit number for sending text. I looked at history discussion and it suggested turning off my phone and wiping out any history of texts, all of which I did but to no avail. What started this problem and how do I resolve?

My apologies for the trouble you’ve had with those contacts! That “1” bug is definitely annoying!
Here are some further steps to help out!
1. Ensure any Message threads with the contact are deleted
2. Remove the contact from recents by composing a new message, it should have a list of recent contacts. Then hit (i) and “Remove from Recents”
3. Then delete the contact completely from the phone
4. Restart the phone
5. Try messaging the number again
