Hello @chalis,

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Community Forums! I’m sorry to hear your email is not working. I can definitely understand how disheartening this can be, as email is an important communication method. I would be more than happy to assist you.

The first thing I would suggest is resetting your network settings. This can be completed in Settings – General – Reset – Reset Network Settings.

If still unsuccessful try removing your email account completely and adding it back. From your home screen, please go into Settings – Mail – Accounts. From the Accounts section, tap your email account, then tap on Delete Account. To confirm, tap Delete from My iPhone, then follow the same steps to add it back on!

I would also recommend trying our awesome Troubleshoot and Resolve Tool online. It will run you through some very helpful steps to resolve this issue.

I hope this information helps you. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns, we are eager to help!

hopefully your problem is solved, the tech that wrote you thinks that solves this problem, but it does not since mine is the same and is NOTsolved.  a ticket was issued for me, but I have no fix or status yet.  Let me note this only affects one of my several ATT email addresses... my original one that is the oldest and that should give tech support it's biggest clue.  the server my inbox resides on is there as my dumb web mail through a browser works - my only hope it will be fixed.   plus the hardwired yahoo app works like a browser - but is not a good app.

i had this same issue occur on 8/7/2017 and it is still occurring with no solution in sight.  i also .did a post on this site and yahoo to no avail, asking for them to fix their server problem  this same issue affects not only the iphone ATT accounts, but my outlook also with the same exact inbox download problem.  i can send, etc.  i spent over 16 hrs with ATT, Apple, Microsoft.  Apple and Microsoft could not create a work around other than forwarding to another email.  ATT is ashamedly powerless - my term - in this problem and doesn't seem to know how to fix the problem, their very good techs are just waiting for it to be "resolved" by the people working on the server issue.  this is even more clouded verizon absorbing yahoo.  how in the 6666 did ATT get so snockered by this is amazing.  It will be hard to trust ATT on their native email again after this - whether it get's resolved or not.  and i have been with ATT/SWB/Bellsouth for 37+years.  The president of ATT should be held accountable... as I hope someone passes this note along to him.  it's also on the yahoo community site as they have no accessible support avenue.

It was helpful, in that it didn't work. So what is the next step?

I'm using an iPhone 7 plus. Only the inbox is not working. It says downloading, but doesn't show any messages. All other folders continue to receive the most recent emails.

I started having the same problem a few weeks ago. It's my bellsouth.net account, not my att.net account. I've had the bellsouth.com account for over 20 years. What's up?

I bet our accounts are on the same server group.  it's now been 4-5 weeks and no change.  Worse yet is no response from ATT.  one guy turned in a ticket, but I haven't heard a word.  this is ridiculous.  I guess I need to call them again and demand more action!  again.

let me know if yours starts working.

I did receive 2 emails in outlook one day, but none of the missing emails sitting in my inbox visible through web mail...

So I called Customer Service...hah, what a misnomer! Over the course of an hour on the phone I spoke with 6 people. When I was transferred to technical support, the connection was so bad that we could barely understand each other. He finally transferred me to someone in the US who told me "we're AT&T, we don't deal with email." Funny, I have 2 att.net email accounts and one bellsouth.net account. Anyway, the last person put me on hold for about 15 minutes and finally dropped the call.

Lol... but the yahoo app does work for a simple reason. So they think that makes everything ok... well it doesn't for me. Sad that they refuse to cooperate. I guess we need to write the CEO of ATT to get some traction. No one from ATT seems to want to answer this thread.
