International travel with LTE Apple Watch

I am traveling from USA (Home zone) to the UK in October with an unlocked iPhone (temporarily using a UK prepaid O2 sim so I have a "local" number for my friends in the UK) and an Apple Watch LTE. It appears that LTE will not "roam" on a watch but I want to ensure that I do not run up any charges on my USA account from the watch.

Is there anything I need to do  to ensure that the watch only uses the connection provided on the O2 sim plan and does not run up any charges on my USA AT&T account?

Thank You.

Hello @Flatspin.

Apple watches are made to work with the cellular bands in a particular region, so you couldn’t use the cellular technology on your American watch in the UK. You can temporarily disable your cellular connection to ensure there are no accidental roaming fees. You will still be able to connect your watch to Wi-Fi and use those features. Thanks for reaching out to us on Forums!
