I miss the days when AT&T would move mountains for a loyal customer.

I have been with AT&T for 15 years. In all that time whenever an issue arose they had a customer seevice team that literally rose to the occassion and found a solution that satisfied both customer and company. Recently my iPhone 6 Plus cracked and I am not eligible for a next plan upgrade until April, 40 days. Now I cannot use the $50 upgrade because my screen is broken and I cannot afford to fork over $199 right now. I had prayed for a minor miracle and hoped they could provide my upgrade now and I would continue to pay my obligatory installment on both phones until my official upgrade date. Unfortunatley it's just not possible and I find myself sad to be loosing what has been a long and satisfying business relationship. Many a time I would come across verizon customers with service where I had none but I pretended I wanted it that way. Always I would argue the tried and true principle that quality and spectacular customer service beat full bars any day. Sadly I will be switching to verizon and though I will enjoy the larger cell range I will miss my 15 years with you and my phone number and the ease of your app. 😞 I miss the ATT of my youth.

Hi there @mizzviki,

I’m sorry to hear your iPhone 6 Plus’ screen has cracked. I’ve cracked the screen on many different phones of mine, so I know where you’re coming from. Things happen, and I do apologize about any inconvenience regarding the replacement of your device. I’d be more than happy to help out.

Insurance is the best option when replacing a phone which has physical or liquid damage. The standard deductible is $199, which is typically a lot lower than having to pay for another device out right; and in some cases, even lower than the remaining balance on your current Next Installment. A line can only have one AT&T Next Installment at a time, which is why the upgrade option is available. You can pay off your current AT&T Next installment plan and upgrade immediately as well. In order to trade in to upgrade, the phone must be in good working condition. These are currently the options available to you in order to receive a replacement.

I do hope you’re able to find a solution which works best for you. Have a great day!
