I can't get voice mail to work on my iphone.

I can't get voice mail to work on my iphone.  I tap the voicemail tab but when the screen comes up it just says call voicemail.  When I do I don't get a voice mail message from me (I don't remember setting one up), but is says to enter the phone number so I can be directed to the correct voicemail box.  when I enter my phone number, it's not recognized.  Help

Hello @akasaka1, lets try to get your voicemail working! Check out this support article on setting up voicemail, it will walk you through how to get it set up.
