How do you receive your bellsouth.net mail on an IPhone8?

All of a sudden about 8 days ago, I started having problems signing in to my bellsouth account on my phone.  It is still available on my desktop.  I called technical service and they said delete and readd mail.  It still doesn't work because I don't know the SMTP user name, which I think is the problem.  Can anyone help?

Usually, deleting and readding the email works unless the password is incorrect.

Before doing it again, go to att.com and sign in using the affected email. If you're able to sign in, go back to your phone's settings, and delete and add your email address again.

 

For POP server:

pop server: inbound.att.net or pop.mail.yahoo.com (requires SSL authentication) | incoming mail port number: 995 

SMTP: outbound.att.net or smtp.mail.yahoo.com (also requires SSL authentication) | outgoing mail port number: 465 

 

If you're using IMAP: 

imap server: imap.mail.att.net (requires authentication) | incoming mail port number: 993

SMTP: smtp.mail.att.net (requires authentication) | outgoing mail port number: 465

 

If none of these worked, download the Yahoo mail app.
