Group text message responses delayed
For the last few days, I will not get some text message responses from people and then all of a sudden, all the delayed responses will come all at once. I got 12 messages this morning at 2 AM...some that had been sent on Monday. I have an iPhone 6 and have installed all the latest updates. It seems to only be group messages.

We want to help and would like to investigate this issue further.
Try toggling Group Messaging by going into the Message settings and disabling Group Messaging and enabling it again.
Also, doing the same thing for MMS messaging has helped as well.
If still having problems, please let us know the following:

Hi @adrienemm! I’m sorry to hear you’re having delayed responses in your group messages.
Often times, group messages on iPhones can get quirky, especially if someone in your group has a non-iPhone. This is due to the disconnect between iMessages and standard text messages. There are a few things we can try:
A few other things to consider: Has anyone in your group gotten a new phone recently? Moved from an iPhone to a non-iPhone? Are all iPhone users updated to iOS9? Are their Messages settings as stated above? Are these delayed responses coming from specific individuals within your group? I would recommend asking everyone to “leave” the conversation, and start a brand new group message.
Hope this helps!

Are you kidding me??? All I want to do is recieve text messsages. Why should I have to buy all of my freinds and family new phones or update them to the latest iOS version. Oh yeah and you want me to buy all of my friends that don't have an iphone, an iphone.
At&t's services should just work just like when I turn on the water or hit the light switch. Especially since I pay more for phone service than I do for water or electric.
Come on At&t

The same thing is happening to me. I've tried asking friends to delete me and re-add me, but that is kind of a terrible exercise since I can't know who's texts aren't getting through if they aren't getting through. Also, I don't think I should have to text every person I know to delet my texts and then retext, thats a lot of work.

I went to the AT&T store and got a new SIM card. I still haven't received the missing text messages. I really wish At&t would step up and investigate this issue. This is really annoying.

I have an iPhone 6 plus.
Ok so my daughter just sent a group text message to me and 6 other people. I received the group text message.
My daughter has a iphone 6 but some of the others in the group message do not have iphones.
A few minutes after the inital group text message, I was standing talking to my brother Tom who was in the inital group text message. Tom has an iphone with Verizon and we both got a text at the same time. My text is from Unknown and the body of the messages says "Service Denied". Tom got a reply to the group message which I did not get.
My brother Rod who was also in the group message Rod did not receive the reply to the group message,he got a text message from Unknown and the body of the messages says "Service Denied". Rod has an iphone 6 plus on AT&T.
I hope this helps someone at AT&T figure out what is going on!
