I need to have my phone screen fixed the phone still works and I have insurance.. What should I do. Don't want to be with out it, it's my business phone.
At a minimum, try taking it to an apple store (make an appointment) and let them give you an estimate for the screen repair. It may well be less than the deductible or $0 if the genius is in a good mood that day.

The deductable is likely more than the insurance repair will cost you.
If still under warranty, you don't want anyone but Apple touching the phone
typical deductable is $199 for the iPhone, reduces by $150 at 6 month without a claim and $99 at 12 months with no claims.
The new iPhone 6s Plus has a $140 replacement cost, the 5s $100 or less.
