Hello @florsmzs

Thanks for the post.

You must submit a request to unlock your device online. Please visit Unlock Device to learn how to submit your unlock request.

We hope this helps!

Oke so i requested another unlock via AT&T. It got accepted. And i followed their steps:

Using a Non-AT&T SIM Card:

1. Remove your SIM card and insert the new SIM card.

2. Complete the setup process.

Using an AT&T SIM Card:

1. Back up your iPhone.

2. When you have a backup, erase your iPhone.

3. Restore your iPhone from the backup you just made.

Did not work.

I also had a phonecall with Apple support. And they said they could not unlock it for me.It had to be done via AT&T They wouldn't give this answer in writing even if i asked it numerous times.

Then i tried some other solutions:

I removed the pin from my current sim.

  1. Put the sim in your current or workingphone
  2. Go to ‘Settings’.
  3. Go to ‘Phone’.
  4. Click on the button ‘Simpincode’ and choose off.

Meanwhile i rebooted the old iPhone with the sim in it.

I tried this simultaneously with the phone connected to my Itunes.

And it unlocked! So i don't have the final answer to what unlocked it. But maybe some of the above steps may help you unlock an old I phone 1.

Dont bother.  It cannot be unlocked.   Apple no longer supports the first iPhone, it’s not in their servers and the IMEI would not be in ATT system.

Apple devices are unlocked through Apple servers, since they no longer support the first iPhone, you cannot unlock through iTunes.

Pits a 2G device, which means it also will not work on ATT.

Thanks, for the info. Odd that an administrator says i need to try again.

I am a bit stubborn though. I will try contacting apple about this. But i wont get my hopes up.
