Can't active iphone 4 AT&T with AT&T sim card
My iphone 4 locked to AT&T but i can't active with AT&T sim card.
When active by wifi it's appear message:
" Activation Error
Activation request could not be complete.
Please retry activation later. "
When try to active by itunes:
"We are unable to complete your activation at this time.
Please disconnect your iPhone from your computer and reconnect it later and we should be able to activate it. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes."
I was contact to apple, that advisors said it's lock to AT&T and recommend me contact to AT&T.
If locked to AT&T so why it's can not active with AT&T sim card?
What the problem with my phone?
Please help me to resolve that problem.
Best Regards.

Hello, demonster!
Thanks for posting. Is the SIM attached to an active AT&T account? If not, that may explain why you're having difficulty activating it. We would be happy to review your account and get this straightened out for you, so please click here to send us a private message.
In your message, please provide your name, phone number, email address, and the best time to reach you. You can expect a reply within two business days, so keep an eye on the little blue envelope icon in the top right corner of your screen.
In the meantime, feel free to message me with any other questions or concerns.

The activation process you describe is activation of the iphone itself with Apple's servers and it should not matter whether the sim card is active or not (as long as the sim is valid) or whether the iphone is locked to AT&T or not. I believe this is an Apple problem, not an AT&T problem. I suggest you take this phone to an Apple store.

I am wondering if he has a bad or de-activated SIM card. Once a SIM is deactivated, it cannot be reactivated, he would need a new SIM.
