Can I swap sim cards between two 3g iphones?

I have an iPhone 4.  My daughter has a 3G.  I have my old 3G sitting in a drawer not being used.  Her 3G's battery is dying.  Can i just swap the sim cards and let her use my old one?

Apologies if this has been answered before - I have tried searching this in many ways, but can't find the exact same situation.

Yes. You can switch her sim into the other iphone 3g with no problems at all. ATT will automatically see the IMEI change to another iphone.

Why not just swap the batteries

Because it's an iPhone and the battery is not user replaceable.  Well, it is, but it's not a simple matter of removing a battery cover.

You would probably want to sync the "new phone" with iTunes to bring over the contacts, music, apps etc.
