Callers get a message the voicemail box is full when it's empty
When callers call my number they get a greeting that the voicemail box is full and they are unable to leave a message. I've tried resetting my phone, deleting any messages, calling 1 from my phone and verifying there aren't any voicemails. Verizon had the same issue but was able to fix it now ATT is having the issue but nothing seems to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @ljense5
Please review the Device Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool/ iPhone 6s by clicking onto Voicemail in the try the troubleshooting steps provided. After using the steps, make a test call to see if "voice mailbox is full" is still mentioned during the inbound call.

Thanks for your response @ljense5
What device are you currently using while having the voicemail error? Have you checked to maker sure your cellphone is updated with the latest software? Do you have an active postpaid or prepaid service with AT&T?
Provide us more details so we can further investigate.

Hello @ljense5
To access your voicemail box is by holding the 1 key on the dial pad. When you press and hold your dial pad, it should automatically dial into your voicemail. Then you can check to find any saved or un-deleted voicemails there which can be removed manually.

I'm having the same issue. I called in about a month ago and spent about two hours (over a two day span) with a specialist and he said he figured it out and reset the proper settings. It seemed to work for the next month but now it's happening again. I've been deleting my messages frequently but then all of a sudden my callers were getting the "full" message. I dialed "1" to get to the voicemails and started deleting them there. There were only 7 short messages in the box so it wasn't even full. I deleted everything in there (even deleted them again from the deleted file as well as the 'saved' file which is weird since I never save any voicemails). Even when doing that there were less than 7 short messages in each file. It's back to working now but something is definitely not right with the system. I shouldn't have to manually erase the messages again and in addition the box should be able to hold more than 7 short messages. Please check on this and get to the bottom of it. It is very frustrating.

Does anybody have a real answer to this problem? The standard textbook ones given by the "experts" are not really solve the core issue.

Still no answers? I’m missing calls for job interviews because of this glitch. Does AT&T want to pay my bills?
