Black list

I had a IPhone 6 that was stolen and then recovered. I called ATT and told them it was stolen. Then when it was recovered I called ATT and reported that it had been found. I sold the IPhone 6 and when they went to activate it they were told it was on the black list and they could not activate it. How do I get the phone off the blacklist?

Contact AT&T again, probably in person to somebody at AT&T Corporate Store, tell them you found iPhone 6 and want to sell it, and remove it from blacklist.

Howdy @HermanPowell!

Thank you for contacting us regarding the removal of your device from the blacklist. You came to the right place!

As our excellent @MR_SMiT said, you need to contact us directly in order to have the phone removed from the list, and only the account holder from the original account used to blacklist the phone can request it. However, if you send us a Personal Message to @ATTMobilityCare with your name, number and the IMEI of the cellphone in question, we can look into this for you!

Have a fantastic week!
