Alert on my account about unlocking iphone - why?

Logged into my account to find an Alert.  When I clicked on it it appears that it was offering the option to unlock a phone on our account.  Why would this show up as an alert?  We didn't request for the phone to be unlocked. 

Would this just be an auto-generated alert because the contract is up for this particular line on our phone?
