A friend bought an XS Max from ATT and brought it back to China for use. But now I need to choose other operators, how do I unlock it?

Looks like you haven't paid off your device yet. Follow these steps to pay off your installment plan. Then, wait 48 hours before you submit a new request.

The phone isn’t going to be unlocked until your friend pays off the balance, and the system recognizes the phone is paid off. Your friend is the only one that can fix this.
